Community Art Project in Phuc Tan Ward- February 2020
For many years, this hidden road -along the Red River and facing Long Bien Bridge- has suffered real environmental issues, as trashes and wastes gathering. In order to support Phuc Tan locals, the commune of Hoan Kiem decided to launch this new project gathering many local and expats artists.
The purpose of this new art project was to share an environmental message. The artists chose to use recycled items as bird cages, plastic bottles, old containers and pieces of glass.
The project has brought a whole new life and atmosphere to this little street. The excitement of Locals and tourist let us believe that it will help changing many people's perceptions of environmental protection. The households living in the neighborhood are very excited about this "cleaner street" and the increase of the local and foreign tourism coming in their street.
